University of Perpetual Help Hosts 3rd E-Summit

To guide the teachers on the latest trends in teaching and to enhance their leadership skills, the University of Perpetual Help Las Piñas Campus has recently held the 3rd E-Summit with the theme, ‘Transforming into a 21st Century Educator’ on October 16 (Friday), 8:00 am to 5:00 pm at the Ernesto Crisostomo Palanca Hall.

The 3rd E-Summit focused on the latest trends in teaching the 21st century skill learners to help teachers on how to fully incorporate technology in classroom settings. In addition, the summit also gave emphasis on professional and personal development so that the change would shift beyond administrator’s offices down to the classrooms.

“The University understands that educators of today need more dynamic trainings and support to fully accomplish they’re mission of nurturing holistically developed Filipino. With technology driven students, they are expecting their teachers to engage in their world. Thus, teachers are required to adapt their learning practices to the developing needs of theirs students,” School Director Dr. Alfonso H. Loreto said in his welcome remarks.

In addition, Dr. Loreto said that since 21st century skill learners require more than just learning by the book, every teachers must be highly effective educators who could step into the world of digital learning environment that 21st century skill learners are now in.

Moreover, Sales and Marketing Department Manager Lea Therese C. Chua shared that as the trends in teaching students had changed dramatically and the teacher-centered way of learning had been revolutionized into a student-centered system of education, teachers must level up their teaching methods and skills to embrace changes.
